I’ll be honest, most of my adult life I thought that distracting myself when I was not feeling that good, was my “go-to” move. A lot of books, friends and family and even some therapists used to recommend this. And I could say that it worked for a while.

But now, under the “light” of mindful practices , I want to shout it out to everyone:

IT’S OK TO FEEL EVERYTHING. ALL EMOTIONS ARE IMPORTANT.

You shouldn’t avoid feeling and yes, I know how hard this may sound. I also -strongly- believe that this is one of the most important things we have to talk about with a child. But first, before we start teaching, we must understand it and model it.

So, let’s start again!
